Oscar-winning US actor Jamie Foxx has been hospitalized with an unspecified medical complication since 11 April. The actor who had returned to social media on 4 May to address his followers and wrote "Appreciate all the love!!! Feeling blessed."
However, on Thursday, it was reported that the 55 year old Jamie Foxx's condition had worsened and his family was only keeping hope for a better outcome.
Earlier this month Foxx took to social media platform Instagram and gave a shoutout to Nick Cannon for filling in on his hosting duties for the upcoming season of "Beat Shazam".
"Appreciate ya my boy @nickcannon. See u all soon," he wrote.
On April 12, Foxx's daughter Corinne had revealed that the actor had "experienced a medical complication".
"Luckily, due to quick action and great care, he is already on his way to recovery. We know how beloved he is and appreciate your prayers. The family asks for privacy during this time,” she had said
However, several media reports and people familiar with Jamie Foxx's situation say that the actor's health is in far more danger than his family is letting on. RadarOnline.com has reported "Jamie's people are saying he's doing OK and improving, while doctors try to get to the bottom of his problems, but he wouldn't be in a hospital this long if he was anything close to OK."
The reports have also mentioned that while the family hopes for the best, they are also ‘preparing for the worst’.
Hindustan Times quoted reports stating that doctors are conducting more tests to ensure that he is fit for discharge.
Foxx was recently seen shooting the upcoming Netflix film "Back in Action" in Atlanta, as per the entertainment website The Hollywood Reporter. "Back in Action" reunites Foxx with Cameron Diaz, who took an eight-year break from acting before Foxx convinced her for the action comedy.
Foxx's health crisis has been so severe that the producers of his upcoming film Back in Action decided to finish production without him. They've used Jamie's body double to complete his last scenes with co-star Cameron Diaz.
Foxx won a best actor Oscar for his role as Ray Charles in the music biopic "Ray". His most recent credits included Netflix movie "Day Shift" and a guest appearance in "Spider-Man: No Way Home".
