Microsoft's product suite that includes Word and Excel was down for more than 15,000 users on Monday, according to outage tracking website Downdetector.com. Microsoft services have faced at least three outages since the beginning of the year.

"Outlook on the Web not working," one user wrote. When trying to access the email site, an error message appears. “Service Unavailable," it says, followed by: “HTTP Error 503. The service is unavailable." "We're investigating an issue with accessing Outlook on the web. Further details can be found under EX571516 in the admin center," the company said.
“We’re reviewing our networking systems and recent updates in an effort to identify the underlying root cause of the issue. Additional information can be found in the admin center under EX571516," Microsoft said in a tweet.
“We’ve identified downstream impact for Microsoft Teams, SharePoint Online and OneDrive for Business. We’re providing full impact details and updates for those services via MO571683. Updates pertaining to Exchange and Outlook on the web will continue to be provided via EX571516," Microsoft said in the latest tweet.
Most of the reports expressed issues with Outlook. Many users of Microsoft's emailing platform shared frustration on social media, with some noting they were unable to sign into or load their accounts.
The company said that it was “investigating an issue with accessing Outlook on the web" in a Twitter thread posted on its Microsoft 365 Status account — and added that a “downstream impact" was also identified for Microsoft Teams, SharePoint Online and OneDrive for Business.
Microsoft 365 Status later said it had reverted an update and saw an improvement in service — soon confirming recovery for impacted services.
In a statement sent to The Associated Press Monday afternoon, Microsoft said it had “resolved an issue preventing users from accessing some of our services."
“Microsoft outlook bring down to start my week is crazy! I thought it was just me," wrote one user on Twitter.

Earlier this year in February, there were more than 2,000 incidents of people reporting issues with Outlook , according to Downdetector.com, which tracks outages by collating status reports from sources, including user-submitted errors on its platform.
“I opened OneDrive online successfully and attempted to access Outlook from there. No O365 apps are available and we can't search for them either," wrote a user on Twitter.
