Pelosi signals more Ukraine aid after $13.6 billion
House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, who spoke with Zelenskiy, said he raised the need for future assistance -- including aid for refugees and rebuilding -- that will cost more than the $13.6 billion package now making its way through Congress.
“We are going to have to see what all of us have to do working together, NATO and other countries,” Pelosi said.
Fear of Kyiv siege
Fears are mounting the capital will be encircled, with AFP seeing Russian troops pressing closer.

1,207 dead in Mariupol siege -
A total of 1,207 civilians have died in a nine-day Russian siege of the port city of Mariupol, its mayor says in a message.
35,000 evacuated
At least 35,000 civilians were evacuated from besieged Ukrainian cities during a 12-hour ceasefire on Wednesday, President Volodymyr Zelensky says.
