In a bid to increase the party’s organizational strength, Delhi chief minister and Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) national convener Arvind Kejriwal will address volunteers across all the districts in Delhi from 16 – 24 October.

With less than four months to go for polls, Kejriwal will also launch a mobile app on Thursday to directly connect with volunteers of the party.

“To give a push to the preparations for the assembly elections, Delhi CM and AAP national convener Arvind Kejriwal will address the volunteers of Delhi directly from tomorrow. For this, there will be two mediums. Kejriwal will address volunteers meet across 14 districts of Delhi. So that communication does not break after the meet, Kejriwal will launch the AK app through which volunteers from Delhi and across the country can connect with him," Gopal Rai, senior AAP leader and cabinet minister said while addressing a press conference.

According to the schedule, booth level volunteers will participate in this. Approximately 1000 volunteers will attend the meetings. Each district accounts for approximately five assembly segments. The party has already appointed observers for each constituency, election in-charges for each polling stations and will now appoint booth level in-charges.

The AAP came to power in 2015 after winning 67 of the 70 assembly segments in Delhi. Since then the party has been faced with internal tussle which has led to several senior leaders resigning from the party.

The term of the assembly is scheduled to end in February. This election will see a three cornered contest between the incumbent AAP, BJP and Congress. In the Lok Sabha elections, the BJP managed to secure a win in all the seven segments. The AAP was moved to the third position in five of the seven constituencies.
