In a bizarre turn of events, three Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) personnel were killed on Wednesday, after a fellow soldier allegedly fired at them following an argument at their camp in Jammu and Kashmir’s Udhampur.
Senior CRPF officials in New Delhi confirmed that the incident had occurred at 10 pm when constable Ajit Kumar shot three of his colleagues from his service rifle at the 187th battalion camp of the force in the Battal Ballian area in Udhampur, after which he shot himself.
While Kumar remained critical, the other three soldiers succumbed to their injuries, the CRPF confirmed.
