Replying BJP leaders jibe on opposition's PM face, Congress leader Pramod Tiwari reassured that opposition's PM face is ready. In return he suggested the BJP to ‘be ready to welcome them.
"Ravi Shankar dulha ki chinta na kare...Hamara dulha taiyar hai, aap baaraat ke swagat ki tayari kro...This opposition meeting is to unitedly raise voices to save the democracy," said Congress leader Pramod Tiwari ahead of the opposition leaders' meeting in Patna.
In his interview given to ANI, Pramod Tiwari, compared the BJP party with the British and said that BJP reminds of the British which divided the nation in the name of religion and caste.
“BJP is destroying India's economy, Indian constitution is completely targeted by the party. The party has also finished many constitutional bodies,” Pramod Tiwari said in an interview. He also accused the BJP of “selling the nations after dividing it into small fragments.”
Later, he claimed that “2024 will bring end to BJP's bad governance.”
"Days ago, Union Minister Ravi Shankar took a jibe on the opposition meeting and questioned about their PM contender.He said that Nitish is decorating the wedding procession for the2024 elections in Patna, but who is the groom. Everyone is calling themselves a PM contender," said BJP MP Ravi Shankar Prasad.
He specifically mentioned Nitish Kumar, Arvind Kejriwal, Sharad Pawar, Mamata Banerjee and Rahul Gandhi for forming their own agenda. He cited the main reason behind the meeting to be the intention of these opposition leaders to oppose PM Modi and retain their power.
Leaders of Opposition parties will meet in Patna on Friday to chalk out a strategy against the Bhartiya Janata Party for the upcoming 2024 Lok Sabha Elections.
Before Ravi Shankar Prasad, BJP MP Sushil Modi also took a jibe at the opposition leaders. He said, “Ye Jo Baraat Lagi Hai, Usme Sabhi Dulhe Hain, Baraati Koi Nahi hai.” He questioned about the groom of the wedding procession which is taking place in Patna. He said that everyone is groom, but there are not guests.
He pointed out that Nitish Kumar had organised an event where everyone seemd to be “projecting themselves as contenders”
"Nitish Ji Ne Aisi Baraat Lagaai Hai, Jisme Sab Dulhe hain. Everyone is busy making others accept their conditions. Kejriwal has threatened that he would not attend the meeting until the Congress announced cooperation on the ordinance issue. It is possible that some consensus has also been reached," Modi said.
The meeeting, scheduled to take place in Patna, will be hosted by Bihar CM Nitish Kumar to build a consensus among the opposition leaders for a united Opposition party against the BJP.
