In a series of verbal attacks against PM Modi, Rashtriya Janata Dal president Lalu Prasad Yadav on Sunday claimed that PM Modi is not a Hindu and accused him of spreading hatred.
The former railway minister also said that PM Modi didn't get tonsured on his mother's death while mentioning the ritual of getting tonsured on the death of acquaintances.
“Narendra Modi is not a Hindu! Hindu people get tonsured on the death of their acquaintances, but he (Modi) did not do this even on the death of his mother,” said Lalu Prasad Yadav while addressing the party's 'Jan Vishwas Maha Rally' in Patna on Sunday.
In his attempt to retaliate against Modi's remarks on dynastic politics, Lalu Yadav said, “Modi talks about dynastic politics, but what is dynastic politics? You (Modi) should explain why don't you have children?”
The Maha Rally was also attended by other opposition leaders including Congress leader Rahul Gandhi, Congress president Kharge, and Samajwadi Party president Akhilesh Yadav.
While addressing the rally, Congress President Mallikarun Kharge, called Prime Minister Narendra Modi “Jhooton Ka Sardar”, and said that PM Modi has become a master at spreading lies and claimed that no one in the country has benefited from the Centre's policies in the last 10 years.
Fuming with anger of betrayal, the Opposition leaders also launched attacks against Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar at the Jan Vishwas Maha Rally. Coming down heavily on the Bihar CM, Lalu Yadav said that Nitish Kumar was never abused by his party when he previously broke alliance with them in 2017.
“We never abused him when he broke the alliance with us. We just called him Paltu-Ram at that time. But we made the same mistake again, and Tejashwi made the same mistake again. We knew something was happening in Raj Bhawan. There was nothing wrong with that government (previous Bihar govt). Does he not feel ashamed?” said Lalu Yadav.
Taking a dig at the Bihar CM, RJD leader Tejashwi Yadav asked whether BJP can take Nitish's guarantee this time or not. He also mentioned the prime example of nepotism in the NDA-led Bihar government in the form of "Samrat Choudhary, brother of Ram Vilas Paswan, and other leaders.
"Due to the U-turn taken by Nitish Kumar, it seems that the state government should get its insurance done. They say Modi ki Guarantee, but who will take the guarantee of Nitish Kumar," he said a day after PM Modi accused Congress-RJD of nepotism," he added.
