According to ED, Delhi CM Kejriwal is the "kingpin and key conspirator" in the excise policy-linked money laundering case.

Kejriwal urged his party workers not to hate BJP workers because of the arrest "Continue working for the society. Do not hate the people from BJP. They are all our brothers and sisters," he said in the message.

The anti-money laundering agency alleged that Kejriwal received several crores of rupees as kickbacks from the 'South group' for formulating and implementing the Delhi Excise Policy 2021-22.

ED has submitted before the court that Kejriwal was directly involved in the formation of the Delhi excise policy 2021-22, which was scrapped last year.

“He demanded 100 crore from some accused from 'South group' for contesting the Punjab elections," Additional Solicitor General (ASG) SV Raju, who was appearing for the agency, was quoted by news agency PTI as saying.
