Pakistan advanced to the next round as the second-best team from Group B, while Afghanistan's two losses made way for Bangladesh from Group B. Pakistan have won the tournament twice, in 2000 and 2012.The only time India boycotted the Asia Cup was in 1986 due to strained cricketing relations with Sri Lanka.
