Cameron Green, the talented Australian all-rounder, has proven his worth with an outstanding performance, just when Mumbai Indians (MI) needed him the most. Valued at a staggering 17.5 crore, Green expressed his satisfaction as his team overcame initial struggles and now finds itself on the brink of securing a spot in the IPL summit clash.

Following a resounding 81-run victory against the Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) in the Eliminator, Rohit Sharma’s boys are now set to face the defending champions, Gujarat Titans (GT), in the second Qualifier on May 26. This crucial encounter will determine the opposition for the formidable Chennai Super Kings (CSK) in the final showdown on May 28.

Acknowledging the challenge that lies ahead, Green regards Hardik Pandya-led GT as the strongest team in IPL 2023, with all bases covered. Impressed by the Titans’ opening batters’ stellar form and the formidable spin duo of Rashid Khan and Noor Ahmed, Green acknowledged the Titans' strength. However, he remained optimistic, stating that MI would approach the game with utmost positivity.

Even Rohit Sharma, as per Green, acknowledges in the dressing room that MI have historically been slow starters. Drawing upon his vast experience both at the national level and in the IPL, Rohit's advice resonated with the team. "MI never won the first game of IPL and he tries to mention that to us," Green revealed during an interview with Star Sports.

Reflecting on the team's progress, Green emphasised the importance of peaking at the right time. While Mumbai Indians had a relatively slow start, the aim is to hit their stride during this crucial stage of the tournament. Green himself has contributed significantly, amassing 262 runs and claiming six wickets so far.

For Green, batting alongside the talented Suryakumar Yadav is a privilege. As per Green, batting alongside Surya is a relatively-straightforward task, highlighting the importance of getting Yadav on strike and capitalising on loose deliveries. He commended Yadav's exceptional abilities as a batsman.

As the stage is set for the thrilling encounter, all eyes will be on the Mumbai Indians as they aim to continue their upward trajectory and secure a place in the final against MS Dhoni’s CSK.
