DC vs PBKS Highlights, IPL 2026: Prabhsimran Singh, Shreyas Iyer power Punjab Kings' highest successful run chase

GAME OVER! Punjab Kings have successfully scripted a record chase against Delhi Capitals, thanks to their skipper Shreyas Iyer (71*) and Prabhsimran Singh (76).

They chase down the total with six wickets to spare and seven balls remaining.

OUT! Nehal Wadhera departs as Vipraj Nigam strikes. Punjab Kings' hopes are hanging by a thread now. Wadhera played the loft, but he hadn't timed it well, and was caught by substitute fielder Karun Nair at long-on.

The match is evenly balanced, with skipper Shreyas Iyer (28*) and Nehal Wadhera (18*) having forged 48 runs for the fourth wicket so far. Punjab Kings are 193/3 after 14 overs, and need another 72 runs from 36 balls to win.

They do have wickets in hand, and the ongoing stand between Iyer and Wadhera will be crucial.

Punjab Kings have lost their openers Priyansh Arya and Prabhsimran Singh in their run chase. While Priyansh was dismissed for 43, Prabhsimran scored 76 runs before being dismissed.

Cooper Connolly and skipper Shreyas Iyer have their task cut out for Punjab Kings.

Openers Prabhsimran Singh and Priyansh Arya have taken Punjab Kings off to a flyer in their chase of 265 against Delhi Capitals. Prabhsimran has scored a half-century, and the 100-run stand between the two came in just 32 balls.

Oh no! Delhi Capitals pacer Lungi Ngidi has sustained an injury, and he is being taken off the field on a stretcher, and an ambulance comes in just moments later, and he will be taken to a hospital. The South Africa pacer seemingly tumbled onto the ground, thus hurting his head. This could be serious for Ngidi and it could be a huge blow for DC.

The good news is that he is able to talk and was responding well to the doctor.

Prabhsimran Singh and Priyansh Arya, the Punjab Kings openers, have got off to a brisk start in their run chase of 265 against Delhi Capitals. In just two overs, Punjab Kings have forged 36 runs and we can clearly see their willingness to go that extra mile in the chase.

INNINGS BREAK! KL Rahul remains unbeaten on 152 as Delhi Capitals post a mammoth total of 264/2 from 20 overs. Rahul and Nitish Rana forged 220 runs from just 95 deliveries for the second wicket. Rana, however, wasn't able to score a century as he was dismissed for 91 by Xavier Bartlett.

Marcus Stoinis attempts a fantastic catch but the catch is eventually ruled out. Nitish Rana had played a slog on a full toss delivery from Yuzvendra Chahal, and eventually found Stoinis with the catch at deep backward square leg.

However, the decision is sent to the third umpire, and it seems like Stoinis' right boot might have touched the cushion.

KL Rahul (126*) amd Nitish Rana (72*) continue to run riot for Delhi Capitals, as 24 runs come from Vijaykumar Vyshak's third over. The former Punjab Kings player punishes his ex-franchise mercilessly, slamming three sixes in Vyshak's over.

KL Rahul has played a fine innings so far, and he gets to his century off just 47 balls. He has slammed 12 fours and five sixes to get to the milestone. This is Rahul's sixth IPL century.

KL Rahul and Nitish Rana are currently unstoppable for Delhi Capitals, with the two having forged over 100 runs for the second wicket.

To be precise, the partnership between Rahul and Rana is currently 125 runs from 62 balls, with both the batters having scored fifties.

FIFTY! KL Rahul scores a fine half-century that comes off just 26 deliveries. He brings it up with a brace, clipping it through the onl-side. The DC opener has so far slammed four fours and three sixes.

Delhi Capitals have enjoyed an excellent powerplay despite the dismissal of Pathum Nissanka early on in the innings. DC have scored 68 runs in the powerplay, with KL Rahul and Nitish Rana forging 40 runs so far.
