The ICC World Cup 2023 is began on 5 October in India and will conclude till 19 November. The first match was played between past World champions - England and first runners-up New Zealand. With star-studded players and big names participating in the nail-biting tournament, it will be interesting to see which batter scores the most and gives a tough time to the best bowlers in the world.
From India, experts have predicted Shubman Gill and Virat Kohli will be the highest run scorers, while Pakistan’s skipper Babar Azam’s chances are also high.
After playing too much IPL in India, Australia’s David Warner has much experience playing on Indian soil and he may be a top contender to score the highest runs in the ICC World Cup 2023. Steve Smith and Cameron Green are among the favorites too.
For England, skipper Jos Buttler, Ben Stokes, and Joe Root have the capability to become the highest run scorers in the tournament.
Quinton de Kock and Heinrich Klaasen from South Africa have also played too much cricket in India and are among the favorites.
Devon Conway from New Zealand has proved to be the best batter for the Kiwis and considering his experience, he may be one of the top scorers in the tournament. With too many contenders for the top scorers, it would be interesting to see who beats the best batter.
