Jasprit Bumrah was successful on Day 2 morning as he got rid of openers Usman Khawaja and Nathan McSweeney within a space two overs. This is before play started on time with clear blue skies. However there is a rain forecast later on the day. AUS 53/2
A draw in Brisbane Test will not rule India out of the race for WTC final. Then they will have to win the final two games in Melbourne and Sydney to qualify for the final with a PCT of 60.53. If India win the final two games and Australia also win 2-0 against Sri Lanka, Rohit Sharma's men will ease through owing to their high PCT.
With predictions of rain in the remaining four days also, a draw could possibly dent both India and Australia in their race to WTC final. In case the match ends in a draw, both teams will be awarded 4 points each. In that case, India's PCT will come down from 57.29 to 55.88. On the Australia's new PCT will be 58.89. The host's current PCT is 60.71.

It's overcast at the moment but the good news is that the rain has stopped. The covers are being pulled off and we should have a restart shortly.
