In another milestone for the team, Chennai Super Kings' star batter Shivam Dube completed 1000 runs for his team in IPL during a match against Lucknow Super Giants. Shivam Dube an Ruturaj Gaikwad collectively managed to add 104 runs for the fourth-wicket stand to power the Super Kings to a competitive 210 for four.

Shivam Dube's hard-hitting performance helped him to make 66 runs for CSK, and a whopping 1000 runs for the team in IPL.
During the ongoing match, CSK captain Ruturaj Gaikwad resumed his role as an opener for the side alongside Ajinkya Rahane. A brilliant catch behind the stumps from KL Rahul marked an early end to Rahane's game as he was dismissed by Matt Henry on just 1(3) in the very first over of the game.

Despite KL Rahul's deadly attacks, Gaikwad managed to make runs for the team. The LSK managed to bring CSK in its favour after powerful performance of Yash Thakur as he removed Daryl Mitchell on just 11(10).
Shivam Dube got the chance for battng after LSG's Mohsin Khan broke the dangerous looking CSK partnership between Gaikwad and Ravindra Jadeja, after the latter was dismissed on 16(19).
After Dube's entry in the match, he managed to showcase explosive intent at the crease, charging LSG bowlers for powerful maximums and boundaries.
Dube in his usual big-hitting form smoked Yash Thakur with three back-to-back sixes, gathering 19 runs. With a stunning four, Gaikwad brought up his century in 56 balls in the 18th over while Dube quickly followed the captain with a half-century with a huge six. Dube was run out after scoring 66 runs.
As the match moved forward towards conclusion, Chennai crowd also witnessed the game of legendary cricketer MS Dhoni. He was welcomed with loud cheer from the crowd.
