IPL 2025: With Delhi Capitals' Ashutosh Sharma snatched away the victory from Lucknow Super Giants at Vishakhapatnam on Monday in the ongoing Indian Premier League 2025, LSG franchise owner Sanjiv Goenka addressed the team with uplifting message after the close defeat.

Sharing the video on their official X handle, LSG showed Goenka trying to boost the morale of the players and supporting staff.

In the tweet, Goenka could be heard saying, “Lots of positives that I take away from this game, in batting, in bowling. The way we had the powerplay in both batting and bowling was brilliant. These things happen. We are a young team, let’s look at the positives, and look forward, from tomorrow, to the 27th. And hopefully, we’ll have a better result. Disappointing result, yes, but great game. So well done.”

Following the video was uploaded, it went viral and people have commented over it.

Here are a few comments:

One wrote, "yes jahb ham harjaty hai tou hamaay kuch seekhnay ko milta ha"

Another wrote, "I don't see anything wrong here why people are crying unnecessarily? Owners can give speeches. Langer & Zak also would have given."

A third commented, "He is already inside the dressing room after the first match. Imagine if they lose a few more from here on. Loading (sic)."

"MI and CSK are the most successful franchises in the IPL, yet you never see their owners meddling in every aspect of the team — from strategizing to delivering pep talks — especially after just one game. But here we have @LucknowIPL , turning into a full-on circus!," commented a fourth social media user.

A fifth user wrote, "Pls leave the team to be Run by professionals. There are many legends in the dressing room who know how to handle and motivate team after a loss like this."

A seventh user wrote, "Bwaaayk! Pant be like bhayya team change kaise karte hain!!"

"Let the professionals handle cricket," commented an eighth user.

A ninth user said, "Seriously looking at this guys face so irritating. Meddling in every aspect. Love to see LSG at bottom of table just for this guy."

Not the first time:

This is not the first time the Goenka was seen interacting with players after the franchise lost a match in IPL. In 2024, Goenka was caught publicly rebuking then LSG captain KL Rahul after losing a match. Also, videos and picture emerged of Goenka talking to current LSG skipper Rishabh Pant following the match, however, no appearance of any sign of animositybetween the two could be seen.
