A brief stumble saw SRH lose three quick wickets, but Heinrich Klaasen came through for his side to deliver the final flourish. The Sunrisers seemed destined for more than 226 after the way they began, but a strong comeback spell from Blessing Muzarabani helped KKR regain a foothold in the game. The tall Zimbabwean quick finished with 4 wickets on the night.

While his stay was cut short, Angkrish Raghuvanshi kept the momentum going but could not go on to play the long game. A couple of run-outs only made matters worse for KKR, and with no meaningful partnerships developing through the middle phase, the chase drifted away. To their credit, SRH used their variations smartly, and as the ball got older, they became increasingly effective.
