NEW DELHI : Ever wondered what the Australian and England players eat for lunch when they are involved in a Test match?

Well, part of what they do eat was revealed by the Lord’s Cricket Ground’s official twitter handle on Wednesday as players went in for lunch early after the rain played spoil sport on Day 1 of the second Test at the Home of Cricket.

The menu for what will be served at Lord’s will have you drooling from head to toe as it has almost everything that you would want to eat.

Should you want to eat light, there is soup and fruit salad, should you want to load up on protein there is a ton of options from land to sea, including the famous Spanish Paella. And if you are the type whose fantasies are tickled by deserts then there are some very indulgent offerings for you.

Not sure what players would have chosen but every one of us would like a bit of everything that is available.

The only disappointing thing from players’ point of view is that they would have liked to have played for a couple of hours before getting to eat the lovely offerings.

Australia are currently 1-0 ahead in the five match Ashes Test series after thumping England by 251 runs in the first test at Edgbaston in Birmingham.

Steve Smith was the star, scoring two centuries in his first match since his return from 12 month suspension as the visitors registered their first win at the venue for 18 years.
