MI vs DC, IPL 2024 Highlights: Chasing 235/5 runs against Mumbai Indians, Delhi Capitals lost their 4th match in the ongoing Indian Premier League by 29 runs at Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai on  7 April. DC finished the 20 overs with a score of 205/8.

For Delhi Capitals, Tristan Stubbs (77*) and Prithvi Shaw (66) kept the hope alive, while Abishek Porel (41) kept the momentum going. However, it was not enough for the team to win. 

For MI, Gerald Coetzee took four wickets, three wickets in the last over only. While Jasprit Bumrah picked two wickets and Romario Shepherd clinched one. 

This is Mumbai Indians first victory in the ongoing IPL 2024 tournament, and now they have 2 points in the IPL points tally. MI moved to 8th position with a NRR of -0.704.

On the contrary, DC lost their 4th match ? out of 5 played and are now at the bottom, with NRR of -1.370.

Batting first, Mumbai Indians scored a whopping 234/5 in 20 overs and gave Delhi Capitals a target of 235 to chase on 7 April. 

Earlier, Delhi Capitals' skipper won the toss and elected to field first. Then, Mumbai Indians' openers Rohit Sharma (49) and Ishan Kishan (42) gave a good opening. After them, Hardik Pandya (39), Tim David (45*) and Romario Shepherd (39*) helped Mumbai Indians to score 234/5.  This is also MI's highest total at Wankhede in IPL history in 17 years. 

Thirty two runs came off in the last over from Romario Shepherd's bat, as he finishes on 39 off 10 balls. This is for the first time in 17 IPL seasons, that MI has scored 32 runs in last over. 

For DC, Anrich Nortje and Axar Patel took two wickets each, while Khaleel Ahmed picked one. 

During their fourth IPL face-off, the Mumbai Indians (MI) are set to go head-to-head with the Delhi Capitals (DC) at Mumbai's Wankhede Stadium on April 7. Rishabh Pant's Delhi Capitals won the toss at Wankhede and decided to field first.

Mumbai's start to the season has been rocky, with three games and as many losses. Skipper Hardik Pandya, stepping in for Rohit Sharma, has been facing criticism for his tactical decisions.

Meanwhile, Delhi clinched a victory against Chennai Super Kings (CSK) on March 31, marking their first win. Both teams currently stand at the bottom of the points table, with MI at the 10th spot and DC at the 9th.
