Batters Sachin Tendulkar and Ambati Rayudu, and bowlers Vinay Kumar and Shahbaz Nadeem took the India Masters to a stylish finish against the West Indies Masters, with the veteran Indian team winning the first-ever International Masters League (IML 2025) by six wickets on March 16 (Sunday).

The West Indies Masters scored a modest 148/7. In a throwback to his glory days, Sachin Tendulkar unleashing his signature strokes with a brief but memorable 25 runs from 18 balls (2x4, 1x6); while Ambati Rayudu (74 in 50 balls; 9x4, 3x6) held the chase, followed by Yuvraj Singh (13 not out) and Stuart Binny (15 not out). India won the match in 17.1 overs with only four wickets down.

Sachin Tendulkar opened for India and in his “copybook drive, flick, and ramp shot” raced to 23 off just 14 balls, as per a PTI report. His innings was cut short when he mistimed a pull off Tino Best, finding Chadwick Walton at fine-leg. But, by then, he had put India Masters in complete control, forging a 67-run opening stand in just 7.5 overs.

Amabti Rayudu followed and anchored the chase, smashing a flat six off Taylor.

In a face-off between Sachin Tendulkar vs Brian Lara (West Indies Masters Captain) face off, the latter's team saw Dwayne Smith (45 off 35 balls, 6x4, 2x6) take charge, while Brian Lara “played second fiddle” opening the innings. The duo were in top gear at 34 from 22 balls before Vinay Kumar halted Brian Lara's innings.

Later left-arm spinner Shahbaz Nadeem took out Dwayne Smith.
