Farhan now has 220 runs, followed by South African captain Aiden Markram with 178 runs. New Zealand's Tim Siefert is third in the table with 173 runs while Nepal's Dipendra Singh Airee (169) and Sri Lanka's Kusal Mendis (168) complete the top five.
India's Virat Kohli (1292) has the most runs in T20 World Cup history from 35 matches, followed by compatriot Rohit Sharma (1220) and Sri Lankan Mahela Jayawardena (1016). England's Jos Buttler (1013) and Australian David Warner (984) round off the top five. With four of them already retired from the game, Buttler will have a chance to go on top of the ladder in the 2026 edition.
In the 2024 edition, Afghanistan's Rahmanullah Gurbaz topped the batting charts with 281 runs in 8 matches, followed by Rohit (257).
