Virat Kohli and Co relax on a beach before first Test against West Indies

India were the dominant side when the two sides squared up in the ODIs and T2oIs earlier in the month and the Men in Blue didn’t lose any match in either format

Antigua has a total of 365 beaches, so in theory you could go on a different one every day of the year. One of those 365 beaches is the Jolly beach and that is where members of the number one cricket team spent some of their time ahead of the first test that is slated to begin on Thursday.

Virat Kohli and members of the India cricket team as well as the support staff took time off to spend their time and relax before what is expected to be a tough series against the men from the Caribbean.

The India skipper took to Instagram and posted a picture of players and support staff having a good time on the beach. The 30-year-old captioned the image “stunning day at the beach with the boys."

India were the dominant side when the two sides squared up in the ODIs and T2oIs earlier in the month and the Men in Blue didn’t lose any match in either format.

The Test series though is expected to be a tougher and more closely fought affair as West Indies demolished a very good England side 2-1 earlier in the year while India have not played a Test since the Sydney Test in January where a draw meant they won a series in Australia for the first time ever.

The Test match in Antigua also starts India’s Journey in the World Test Championship.

The second Test will be played at Sabina Park, Jamaica from 30th August.
