Indian cricket fans in Adelaide, Australia, were treated to some thrilling moments on Wednesday as Virat Kohli and Jasprit Bumrah engaged in an intense training session ahead of the second Test against Australia in the Border-Gavaskar Trophy (BGT).
The practice session at Adelaide Oval was open to the media and fans, who thronged to see their cricket idols.
Having won the first Test and the tour game, the Indian team is confident going into the Adelaide pink-ball Test, which starts on December 6.
While Kohli is among the best batters in the world, Bumrah recently regained his top position among bowlers in the latest ICC Test rankings.
The video shared by official broadcaster Star Sports shows Kohli looking focused as he drove, cut and left Bumrah, much to the appreciation of fans chanting his name.
On the other hand, Bumrah, never to back down, tested his variations against Kohli before sharing a light-hearted conversation with head coach Gautam Gambhir at the end of the video.
Earlier in Perth, both Kohli and Bumrah played crucial roles in India's 295-run win over Australia. While Kohli got back in form with a majestic century, his seventh on Australian soil, the premier Indian pacer, Bumrah, finished with eight wickets, including a fifer in the first innings.
With Rohit Sharma coming in, Bumrah will move into his vice-captain's role in Adelaide. The fast bowler led the Indian side in Perth as Rohit missed the game due to the birth of his baby boy, Ayaan.
However, there is still a doubt about Rohit's batting position. Usually, the Indian captain opens the innings. But after the success of KL Rahul and Yashasvi Jaiswal in Perth and as well as in Canberra (during the day-night tour game), it remains to be seen what batting order India will choose in Adelaide.
