Home / Sports / Cricket News /  World Cup 2019: West Indies do-or-die clash against New Zealand

After the hard-fought win over South Africa the other day, New Zealand start favourites. The batting, led by skipper Kane Williamson, has more depth and resilience, the bowling more suited for English conditions.

Overall, the Kiwis have fed their ambition with consistency, eschewing flamboyance whenever necessary, keeping the end objective in mind.

The West Indians in contrast, have been flip-flop, brilliant one day, excruciatingly mediocre on others. The bad days, unfortunately, have been more frequent than the good ones.

This has placed them in a do-or-die situation. A defeat today would make the remainder of their presence in the World Cup without much meaning.

Key Players: Williamson, Ferguson; Hope, Holder
