Yuvraj Singh signs with Toronto Nationals for Global T20 Canada

  • The tournament will be played from July 26 to August 11

Yuvraj Singh, who recently retired from international cricket as well as Indian Premier League, has signed with Toronto Nationals for the 2019 season of Global T20 Canada.

Yuvraj’s signing was confirmed by the official twitter account of Global T20 Canada league.

Yuvraj had previously stated that he would like to play in global leagues around the world and that he would seek BCCI’s permission to do so.

The 2019 season will see the involvement of six teams in the competition, Vancouver Knights, Winnipeg Hawks, Edmonton Royals, Montreal Tigers and Toronto Nationals all took part in the previous edition and they will be joined by Brampton Wolves, who will be replacing West Indies B team that played last time out.

The tournament will be played from July 26 to August 11.

Some of the other players to have signed up for the 2019 edition include, Kane Williamson, Faf du Plessis, Shoaib Malik and Shakib Al Hasan. These players will be joined players like Chris Gayle, Kieron pollard and Andre Russell who have been retained from the last season.
