NEW DELHI :
It was a painful end to the last season for England and Tottenham Hotspur striker Harry Kane in both literal and figurative sense.
He limped out of the Champions League quarter-final first leg against Manchester City and missed the rest of the Premier League campaign.
When he came back, Spurs lost the Champions League final to Liverpool 2-0 and then England went out to the Netherlands in the inaugural Nations league semi final 3-1 in Portugal.
Harry Kane though is back to almost full fitness and he showed his class in a pre-season friendly against Juventus in Singapore. The strike came on as a substitute and scored the winner for the North London side in the 93rd winner from half-way in a 3-2 win.
Harry Kane himself tweeted a video of the goal, adding Good to be back 😉⚽ #COYS
What must have provided additional satisfaction to Kane was the fact that he scored against former Arsenal keeper Wojciech Szczesny who had also come on as a substitute.
Kane scored the goal when the scores were tied 2-2 with Cristiano Ronaldo and Gonzalo Higuain scoring for the Old lady while Erik Lamela and Lucas Moura had scored for Spurs.
Tottenham next take on Manchester United in their pre-season friendly in Shanghai China.
