Barcelona have reached out with a touching message of support to their head coach, Hansi Flick, following the sad news of his father's demise. The gesture comes ahead of one of the biggest fixtures in world football, the El Clasico against Real Madrid at Camp Nou.

Blaugrana family stands strong behind coach Hansi Flick

The Catalan club took to the social media platform X to share their heartfelt words during this tough personal moment for the German tactician. “FC Barcelona and the entire blaugrana family wish to send all our love to Hansi Flick after the passing of his father. We share in your sorrow, and our thoughts are with you and your family during this difficult time,” Barcelona posted on X.

The message highlighted the close-knit spirit within the club as they prepare for a match that could shape the entire La Liga season. Flick and his players will surely feel the backing of the entire fanbase as they step onto the pitch.

Real Madrid hit by Kylian Mbappe injury blow

While Barcelona focus on supporting their coach, rivals Real Madrid are dealing with their own problems on the injury front. Star forward Kylian Mbappe, 27, failed to complete Saturday’s training session after picking up a muscle injury in his left leg. He was not included in the squad announced on X for the trip to Camp Nou, as club doctors and coaches chose not to take any risks.

Madrid sit in a tricky spot in the La Liga title race, making Mbappe’s absence even more painful. The French superstar has enjoyed an outstanding first season in Spain despite a few niggles, netting 41 goals in just 41 appearances across all competitions.

His record against Barcelona makes the blow feel bigger. Mbappe has scored at an average of one goal every 67 minutes in El Clasico matches.

Los Blancos face long list of absentees

Mbappe is not the only big name missing. Real Madrid will line up without midfielder Federico Valverde, forward Rodrygo, defender Eder Militao, young talent Arda Guler, and full-backs Dani Carvajal and Ferland Mendy. The injury crisis leaves coach Carlo Ancelotti with limited options as they head into this high-stakes derby.

Historic title chance for Barcelona in El Clasico

For Barcelona, the match carries huge reward. A win or even a draw would hand them the La Liga title, the first time in league history that the championship has been decided inside an El Clasico. Real Madrid still have a slim hope of delaying the party. If they win, they could cut the gap at the top to eight points with three games left to play.
