Conor Mcgregor unexpectedly spat on the face of a UFC fan after the latter chanted Let's go Khabib in front of the Irish MMA star, the video of which went viral on social media. The incident took place at the Wynn Hotel in Las Vegas when Conor Mcgregor was walking through with his team. The fan, who was supporting Khabib Nurmagomedov, was heard shouting heard “Let's go Khabib”, drawing the attention of Conor McGregor.
The 36-year-old approached the fan and blatantly spat on the face of the fan who took a couple of seconds to come to terms with the situation. While walking away Conor McGregor said “I spit in your face, and what did you do? Nothing!”
Conor McGregor and Khabib Nurmagomedov have been in a tussle in recent years. It got reignited due to Paul Hughes' fight with Usman Nurmagomedov. Notably, Usman is the cousin of Khabib and trains under the latter currently. Usman is currently 19-0 and won against Hughes via decision.
Conor McGregor's last UFC appearance came four years ago when he lost to Dustin Poirier and suffered a horrifying leg injury. He was to come back to the ring against Michael Chandler in a highly-anticipated fight but it had to be cancelled dur to his toe injury. His return date is yet to be known.
Aged 36 each, both Conor McGregor and Khabib Nurmagomedov took part in the biggest fight in UFC history in October 2018. Meanwhile, UFC CEO Dana White provided an uninspiring update on Conor McGregor's return. “Conor? I’m not sure when Conor will be back,” Dana White told reporters, thus keeping the mystery surrounding the Irishman's comeback to the UFC.
However, after the cancellation of the Conor McGregor's match with Michael Chandler, the Irish MMA star said that the decision was taken after consultation with the doctor.
