FULL TIME! Co-hosts Netherlands have beaten India 2-0 in their Pool E opener of the 2026 FIH Women's World Cup. The Dutch side were clearly the more clinical side as they troubled the Indian defenders from time to time.

Yibbi Jansen gave Netherlands an early lead in the second minute before Frederique Matla doubled the lead in the 38th minute.

Netherlands finished as Pool A winners with nine points from three matches. They began their campaign with a 2-0 win over Chile, before beating Australia 4-2 in their second match. The Dutch side them registered an easy 9-0 win over Japan in their third Pool A match.
