After launching the all-in-one Office application solely for Android smartphones that would combine Word, Excel, and PowerPoint under one roof, Microsoft has now made it available on iOS phones as well.

Earlier, Microsoft has launched an all-in-one Office application on Android smartphones in order to help its users to streamline all tjheir document formats by putting all three apps -Word, Excel, and PowerPoint - under one roof. The new app is s available for download on iOS devices directly through the Apple App Store and on Google Play Store for Android users. Earlier, the app was released for testing purposes through a public preview in November.

Combining all the three apps together will simplify the experience of users who are always struggling between switching from one app to another for their document needs. Moreover, available for 360.4MB on App Store, the single app requires far less phone storage than installing individual apps while maintaining virtually all the capabilities of the Office apps.

The all-in-one Microsoft Office app will let users perform a number of tasks. Apart from browsing between Word, excel and other files, the app also includes a variation of the Office Lens scanner, to help in performing camera-centric tasks such as converting images into editable Word and Excel documents, scanning PDFs, and capturing whiteboards with automatic digital enhancements etc, said the company in a statement.

Apart from that, Microsoft has also enhanced app support for third-party storage services like Box, Dropbox, Google Drive, and iCloud. There are also also templates to help create new documents, spreadsheets, and presentations; and general performance improvements.

All these services and features of the single Office app is also available in "limited support" on iOS and Android-powered tablets and the company says that it would soon release the app fully optimized for them as well.

There's more. Microsoft on its blog has also mentioned three new features that will be rolled out on both Android and iOS devices really soon. The latest features include Word Dictation that will allow users on Word to dictate their notes, Excel Cards View, which will enable users to view and edit data in an Excel table row using a card format and also an Outline to PowerPoint feature to let users write their presentation content as an outline and use the PowerPoint Designer to turn it into presentable slides.

However, there is one major caveat to access all features: to access all premium features of the app, you would need to have an Offiec 365 subscription.
