WhatsApp has not officially rolled out any stable versions of Dark Mode yet
The social messaging app is working on the feature and may roll out soon
WhatsApp's much-awaited Dark Mode feature roll out has been in news for quite some time now but there is no official announcement of launch date yet. But, a new report suggests the feature is inching for a stable release version gradually.
According to WaBetaInfo, the website that tracks latest WhatsApp updates, the Facebook-owned social messaging app in the latest version of Android Beta version 2.20.8., comes with a few recent updates that hints at the sooner release of the Dark Theme.
In the latest WhatsApp update, the blog spotted the 'Dark System Even Colour' feature that announces your messages and calls are end-to-end encrypted. The new layout uses a yellow color for the text display unlike the earlier grey coloured text.
This is a severely tiny update but worth a mention as such addition to the app will only ensure that the Dark Mode feature may come soon. However, this system event bubble is under development and will be publicly available in a future update, reported the blog.
Additionally, iOS users may also soon receive the feature. The report earlier also pointed out that WhatsApp is working on Dark Theme which will be compatible with iOS 13.
Apart from this, the popular messaging app is reportedly nearing towards the roll-out of the Delete Message feature for its Android and iOS users. The feature, once available will automatically delete messages after a particular time period set by the user and make it look like the message never existed.
