Apple refreshed its 13-inch and 15-inch MacBook Pro laptops by introducing a few crucial changes. Apple has brought faster processors and a new keyboard design to its latest top-end laptops.

The 15-inch MacBook Pros get Intel’s 9th Gen Core processors. The base model is powered by a 2.6GHz, 6-core Intel Core i7 processor that can turbo boost up to 4.5GHz. There is also another model that gets 2.3GHz 8-Core i9 processor which can be boosted up to 4.8GHz. Finally, there's a custom top configuration with an even powerful 8-core i9 chip with a 2.4GHz base speed, which can boost all the way up to 5.0GHz Apple calls this "the fastest Mac notebook ever."

The 13-inch model has also received processor updates. The base variant now comes with a 2.4GHz 8th Gen quad-core i5 processor that can be boosted up to 4.1GHz. This year's top configuration 13-inch MacBook runs a quad-core i7 processor, which can reach boosted speeds up to 4.7GHz.

As for the keyboard, Apple says that the new keyboard mechanism is built with a new material, which should reduce problems.

It has also introduced a programme that will repair typing-related problems for free in 'butterfly' keyboards for its previous generation MacBook laptops. These include newer versions of MacBook, MacBook Air and MacBook Pro models.

The rest of the specifications for both MacBook Pros remain the same, be it GPUs and integrated graphics options, memory offers or design. The tech company hasn't worked on its thermals either, which might be problematic especially for the new i9 chip.

Apple hasn't shown much love to its non-Touch Bar models this year, as they haven't received any updates this year. In fact, the non-Touch Bar models have remained unchanged since 2017.

The 13-inch MacBook Pro and 15-inch MacBook Pro are priced at 1,59,900 and 1,99,900 respectively.
