Motorola now makes smart TVs with Android 9, prices start 13,999, supports game controller

Lenovo-owned Motorola launched a new smart TV series in India. Unveiled for the first time in the world here, Motorola's new TVs run Android Pie, and come with features that enhance its sound and audio quality as well the Android gaming experience.

The Motorola TV lineup will be available on Flipkart starting 29 September.

Motorola TV: Specifications

Motorola claims that its new TV lineup was designed keeping the Indian audiences in mind and will be manufactured here.

The range varies between a 32-inch HDTV all the way to a 65-inch 4K panel. The smart TVs come with Dolby Vision technology and are HDR10 compliant. The panels have a wide viewing angle of 78-degrees. It comes with 30W front firing speakers that are powered by DTS Tru Surround and Dolby Audio.

The company is also marketing its own technologies to tweak the performance of its TVs. For instance, the TVs come with autotuneX display technology, amphisound X sound tech and finally blazeX that allows it to connect to a wireless Android game controller. Motorola hasn't mentioned how these autotuneX and amphisoundX exactly work.

Powering TVs is a Mali 450 GPU paired with 2.25GB of RAM and 16GB internal storage.

Motorola's TV is set to take on Xiaomi's Mi TV and OnePlus' upcoming OnePlus TV. The competition in the smart TV market is fierce as many players are offering cutting edge features at really affordable prices.

TV is the biggest category for the Chinese consumer electronics company after smartphones.
