NEW DELHI : After launching OnePlus 7T, OnePlus CEO Pete Lau has now teased another smartphone which could be a new McLaren Edition phone. Teasing OnePlus fans, Lau tweeted the image of a package with a signature orange outline that was also seen on the OnePlus 6T McLaren Edition's package.

When a Twitter user asked Lau if McLaren edition is coming, he replied in the affirmative.

Formula 1 team and performance car maker McLaren and OnePlus had announced their partnership a year ago after which OnePlus 6T McLaren Edition was launched last December. Beyond the new design, 10GB of RAM and WARP charging, there wasn't much of a difference between the McLaren Edition and a regular OnePlus 6T.

Available in India at a price starting from 37,999, OnePlus 7T smartphone comes with 90Hz Fluid AMOLED display. It comes with a bigger screen, refreshing new design, and the triple cameras.

The Chinese smartphone maker had recently announced it has clocked 500 crore revenue in just two days of the Amazon Great Indian Festival sale that ended recently.

Besides the OnePlus 7T smartphone, OnePlus had launched its OnePlus TV 55Q1 ( 69,900) in the Indian market, making India the only country to have the product.

OnePlus, which competes with Samsung and Apple in the premium smartphone category in India, has also announced plans to increase headcount at its new R&D centre in Hyderabad by up to five-fold as it looks to make the facility its largest globally in the next three years.

India is among one of India's largest markets for OnePlus, accounting for around 33% of its global revenue.
