The ColorOS 7 Beta version will start rolling on Realme X2 Pro and Realme XT from 18 December
The OS will also carry a system-wide dark mode
Realme smartphones are all set to receive the company's customised UI-based version of ColorOS 7 and Android 10 update, which is due to roll out in first quarter of 2020. On Monday, the Chinese smartphone maker released the roadmap for ColorOS 7 for its entire smartphone lineup.
The roadmap also highlights that the Realme X2 Pro users may get a peek into the new OS version as the company is eyeing to roll out ColorOS 7 Beta version for them from 18 December, 2019. Furthermore, the Realme XT and Project X users who have already participated in the ColorOS 6.7 program will also receive ColorOS 7 updates by November end.
Realme’s customised UI will sport all the new features from the ColorOS 7, including enhanced system updates. Users will experience smoother gaming graphics, better RAM management and uninterrupted video experience along with other customization options.
The cutomized OS will also come with several options like app icons, shape, size and font change. There will also be a system-wide dark mode. Apart from these features, the company also stated that the OS would come with "special features that will be closer to stock Android experience", but didn't mention what these features entail.
According to the roadmap for the first stable versions of the rollout, the Realme 3 Pro and Realme XT will be the first devices to receive ColorOS 7, starting in January 2020. In February, the Realme X and Realme 5 Pro will receive it, followed by the Realme X2 Pro in March. The Realme 3 and Realme 3i will get it in April, while the Realme 5 and Realme 5s in May and Realme 2 Pro in June. Lastly, the Realme C2 will receive the update sometime in Q3 2020.
