Taking on its rivals in the budget smartphone sector of Indian market, Chinese phone manufacturer Xiaomi is all set to offer the Redmi Note 8 to the Indian customers again before the year ends.

The Redmi Note 8 is set to go on sale today at 12 pm on Amazon India website, and Mi.com. The smartphone, which was launched with Redmi Note 8 Pro on 16 October, 2019, comes with massive 48MP AI quad-camera array and 4,000 mAH battery. What's more? The smartphone comes with Xiaomi's MIUI 10 but it can be upgraded to the newer version, the MIUI 11.

According to Xiaomi's official website, the Redmi Note 8 will be available at a starting price of 9,999 for the 4GB RAM and 64GB storage variant. The other variant with 6GB RAM and 128GB storage option is priced at 12,999. The smartphone will be available in three colour variants: Neptune Blue, Space Black and Moonlight White.

The sale will go live on Amazon India website and Mi.com simultaneously at 12 noon today.

Just like earlier, the Redmi Note 8 is bundled with offers for the buyers.

The offer includes up to 1,120GB, 4G internet for Airtel prepaid consumers recharging for 249 and 349 every month.

EMI options are also available for both the variants with 5% instant discount on ICICI Bank credit EMI transactions.

Redmi Note 8 specifications:

One of the biggest highlights of the Redmi Note 8 is the camera. The smartphone houses a 48MP AI Quad camera with portrait, ultra-wide lens, macro lens, LED flash, AI support etc. Apart from that, the selfie camera houses a 13MP camera along with AI portrait mode.

The device, which carries a dual-SIM (Nano) slots, runs on Android 9 Pie with MIUI 10 skin, although it is upgradable to MIUI 11. The 6.3-inch Redmi Note 8 comes with an IPS LCD multi-touch capacitative touchscreen with 2280 x 1080 pixels resolution and is powered by the octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 665 SoC.

Other features include 128GB internal storage with an expandable external memory of 512GB, 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11ac, Bluetooth v5.0, GPS/ A-GPS, USB Type-C, and a 3.5mm headphone jack.

Xiaomi recently claimed that it sold over 10 million units of the Redmi Note 8 and Redmi Note 8 Pro globally in three months since their formal launch in China back in August. The company also last week announced that it sold more than one million Redmi Note 8 series units in India in a month of its launch.
