Chinese smartphone maker Vivo launched a new smartphone in India—the Vivo U10. Starting at ₹8,990, the smartphone will be available in three storage configurations. Highlights of the smartphone include a 5,000mAh battery, Snapdragon 665 processor and a triple camera setup.
Pricing, offers and first sale
The Vivo U10's base variant, priced at ₹8,990, has the storage configuration of 3GB/32GB. The other two variants in 3GB/64GB and 4GB/64GB are priced at ₹9,990 and ₹10,990 respectively.
The smartphone, also an Amazon special device, goes on sale starting 29 September on Amazon and Vivo's ecommerce website.
Offers on the smartphone include Jio benefits worth ₹6,000 (applicable on ₹299 plan), no-cost EMI for up to 6 month on Bajaj FinServ credit cards and a flat ₹750 off on the next purchase from vivo.com.
The Vivo U10 is lit by 6.35-inch LCD display with HD+ resolution with a V-shaped notch to accommodate the 8MP selfie camera. It is powered by the Snapdragon 665 processor paired with up to 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage. It comes with a rear-mounted fingerprint scanner for biometric authentication.
At the back, the smartphone boasts a triple camera setup with a 13MP primary sensor, 8MP ultra-wide camera and a 2MP bokeh camera for portrait shots.
The smartphone is backed by a 5,000mAh battery which Vivo claims can last up to 7 hours while playing PUBG. It ships with an 18W fast charger that can be connected to the phone via a microUSB port.
Vivo is also marketing the smartphone's gaming mode which provides functionalities like voice-changer, game eye protection, do not disturb and game countdown.
