Apple, the California based technology giant has introduced its new 15.3-inch MacBook Air with M2 chipset. The event started with a bang, as the company introduced its new high performance laptop.

The technology giant claims that the 15.3-inch MacBook Air is the thinnest 15-inch laptop globally, measuring a mere 11.5mm in thickness. It also impresses with its lightweight build, weighing only 3 pounds.

This laptop retains essential features such as a headphone jack, dual Thunderbolt 4 ports, MagSafe, and introduces new color options. The design of the larger MacBook Air remains consistent with its 13-inch counterpart. Users can choose from four distinct colors: Starlight, Midnight, Space Gray, and Silver.

Speaking of design, the 15.3-inch MacBook Air closely resembles its smaller counterpart, boasting a slim and sleek profile. It retains the unibody construction and incorporates a six-speaker sound system to deliver improved audio quality. The larger edge-to-edge display includes a notch housing a 1080p FaceTime camera for video calls, which can reach a brightness of up to 500 nits.

When it comes to performance, the 15.3-inch MacBook Air utilizes the identical M2 chip found in its 13.6-inch counterpart. Apple's comparisons indicate that the M2 chip integrated into this model delivers a staggering 12-fold increase in speed compared to an Intel-based MacBook Air. The M2 chip boasts 8 CPU cores and 10 GPU cores, enabling enhanced computational and graphical capabilities. It can also be configured with up to 24GB of RAM and a maximum storage capacity of 2TB.

The 15.3-inch MacBook Air is competitively priced at just $1,299. Meanwhile, Apple has also reduced the price of the 13.6-inch MacBook Air, making it more accessible at $1,099.
