Xiaomi's sub-brand Redmi has introduced a new colour variant of its bestselling smartphone series, the Redmi Note 7-series, in India. The back panels and chassis of Redmi Note 7S and Note 7 Pro will now be sporting a new Aura White theme. The new variant is similar to the "Mirror Flower Water Moon" variant that is available in China.
The announcement was made via the Redmi India's Twitter handle. The pre-bookings went live yesterday.
The prices and specifications of the new colour variant are exactly the same as before. To recall, the Redmi Note 7 Pro comes equipped with Qualcomm Snapdragon 675 processor paired with up to 6GB RAM and 128GB internal storage. It runs Android Pie 9 with Xiaomi's MIUI 10 custom ROM running atop and is backed by 4,000mAh batteries.
It comes with a 6.3-inch full-HD+ display with a resolution of 1080x2340 and an aspect ratio of 19.5:9. The dot display notch houses a 13MP selfie sensor.
The Redmi Note 7S is essentially the same smartphone as the Note 7 Pro, except that it comes with a Snapdragon 660AIE chipset and a lower price tag.
Meanwhile, Flipkart has slashed the prices of the Note 7 Pro (all storage variants except 6GB/64GB) by ₹1,000 as a part of its Independence Day sale. The mid-tier 6GB/64GB variant gets a price cut of ₹2,000 which brings its price down to ₹13,999 from ₹15,999.
The Redmi Note 7S has received a uniform price cut of ₹1,000 across all variants. It's base variant is now available at ₹9,999 during the sale.
