After ransomware, DDoS attacks rose three times during coronavirus pandemic

NEW DELHI: Ransomware aren’t the only kind of cyber attacks companies have to protect against. According to a report by security firm Kaspersky, the second quarter of 2020 saw a three-fold increase in distributed denial of service (DDoS) attacks as compared to the same period last year. The figure is almost the same as it was in the first quarter of the year, the firm noted.
