At the recently concluded Electronic Entertainment Expo (E3), gamers had a sneak peek into some of the hottest games that are headed their way.

However, purchasing exciting new games at the time of its launch can be a very costly affair, as most popular AAA titles cost ₹3,000-5,000. However, you can get the same games at a discounted price in some of the ongoing summer sales on Steam, PlayStation Store and Amazon.in. Here are the most sought-after games under three distinct gaming genres.

Action

Among the latest action games, Ubisoft’s open world game Far Cry New Dawn is available on Steam at ₹1,244, down from the original price of ₹2,249, while Warner Bros’ stealth-based shooting game Hitman 2, which was earlier priced at ₹1,349 is now available at ₹539. The top deals on PlayStation Store include Bethesda’s Rage 2, which is now selling at ₹2,749, down from ₹5,599. EA Sports’ World War 2 shooting game Battlefield 5 is retailing on Amazon.in at ₹2,221. It was launched at ₹4,699. One of the most popular action games is the latest Shadow of the Tomb Raider game. Steam is offering a big discount on it, making it available for ₹1,399, instead of the original ₹3,499.

Sports

Football fans can buy EA Sports’ FIFA 19 and Madden NFL 19 bundle for ₹1,749, sharply lower from ₹4,399, on the PlayStation store. Konami’s PES 2019 is on offer on Steam at ₹1,201 after a 50% discount. Big Ant’s Cricket 19 game for Xbox and PS4 is available at ₹3,220 after a 20% discount on Amazon.in. For basketball fans planning on buying 2K Games’ NBA 2K19, this is the best time as its price has been slashed from ₹2,999 to ₹479 on Steam.

Strategy

For gamers who prefer to plot their moves, there is a lot on offer. For instance, 2K Games’ empire builder game Civilization VI: Gathering Storm, is retailing at ₹1,349 after a 25% discount. Sega’s football strategy game Football Manager Touch 2019 is available on Steam at ₹544, down from ₹1,600. There is a 75% discount on the award-winning strategy game XCOM 2 by 2K Games on Steam which has brought down the price to ₹749.
