Jio-PUBG collaboration is offering subscribers free in-game merchandise: Here's how to avail it

The widely-popular battle royale game PUBG recently launched a new version suited better for low-end PCs called PUBG Lite. A few days after the launch, PUBG Lite has partnered with Jio. Jio users who register for PUBG Lite will be able to enjoy exclusive rewards by way of free skins for their in-game merchandise.

To avail the offer, Jio users can visit Jio GamesArena website and fill up a 2-step registration form. Users will then receive a verification link on their registered email ID. Once the verification is complete, users will receive another mail with unique redemption code which can be claimed within the game.

Then, users can redeem the code by downloading and registering for PUBG Lite and then clicking on the Add Bonus/Gift Code option within the Menu Store tab. Now the user needs to add the redemption code in the blank space and click on redeem.

PUBG Lite is a free-to-play game compatible with lower-end computers, with optimised gameplay and graphics.

The fifth-highest selling game ever found itself in the dock this year for contributing to a wide gamut of social ills— poor academic performance, violence, theft, even suicide.

Surat was the first jurisdiction to impose a ban on PUBG Mobile, on 8 March, followed by Rajkot, Gandhinagar, Ahmedabad, Vadodara, and other districts. The ban in Ahmedabad was lifted on 28 March. Several PUBG players were arrested in Ahmedabad, Rajkot and Himmatnagar for merely playing the game.
