Social media firm Meta launched its Twitter-rival app, Threads, on July 6. Instagram is offering custom tickets to its users, which can be found by searching 'Threads' on the app
Social media firm Meta has launched its Twitter-rival Threads app. The company unveiled the all-new social media app on July 6, 2023. Ahead of the launch, Instagram is offering custom tickets to its users. Many Instagram users are sharing their tickets via Instagram Stories. If you are feeling left out, then don’t worry. Here, we will tell you how you can get your custom ticket to Threads app.
Threads app will be Meta’s answer to Twitter. To get your custom Threads ticket on Instagram, simply search ‘Threads’ on the app. You will immediately see a red ticket in the Instagram search bar, tap on it.
You will get a Willy Wonka-inspired ticket with your name inscribed on it. The custom ticket also shares the launch date and time of Threads app, i.e. 7:30PM on July 6. Additionally, there is a QR code on the ticket that redirects users to the official Threads website.
The ticket is available on both Android and iOS app of Instagram.
Ahead of the launch, the app has briefly appeared on Google Play Store and Apple App Store. Alleged screenshots highlighting the visual aesthetics of the upcoming app have also leaked in the past. Here’s what the Threads app may offer
The upcoming Threads will be a text-based conservation app. Similar to Twitter’s 280 word count, it is likely that there will be character restrictions in Threads as well. As of now, the character limit is not known yet.
Further, the platform is expected to be a decentralized application. It means that users will be able to use other apps and can still be on Threads.
As per the screenshots shared online, users will be able to login to Threads using their Instagram account. Another screenshot reveals that users will be able to choose who they want to follow through a list of contacts inside the app.
No other details of the Threads app are known yet. The app is being developed by Meta under Project 92. Before the app’s launch, concerns over privacy have already started appearing. According to screenshots shared by some users on Twitter, the Threads app will collect user’s data such as financial information, health and fitness data, purchases, location, contacts and more.
