Microsoft Corp on Tuesday started making available to users a host of AI upgrades, including to ChatGPT, its search engine Bing as well as to cloud services - an expansive launch that seeks to narrow the gap with Alphabet Inc's Google.

Here is the key highlights from the Microsoft's big event below:
Windows 11 is getting an AI Copilot
Microsoft is bringing its AI personal assistant, called Copilot, to Windows 11. This is the same assistant that Microsoft already integrates across Edge, Office apps, and GitHub.
The Windows Copilot, however, will live within the taskbar. Microsoft informed the company will start testing the feature publicly next month before rolling it out to more users.
Copilot plug-ins will eliminate the need to think about the interface.

Microsoft 365 Copilot will supports plug-ins
The AI assistant will now support three main types of plug-ins, including Teams messages extensions, Power Platform connectors, and tools that use technology from ChatGPT. Users can choose from third-party plug-ins.
Microsoft Edge have 365 Copilot integrated soon
Microsoft is planning bringing 365 Copilot also to Edge. The tool will be placed within the browser’s sidebar. The user can use the content on the site he is viewing to help his work on projects in Microsoft 365 apps, such as Outlook, Word, Excel, and others.

Windows Terminal gets an AI-powered chatbot
Microsoft said Windows Terminals are getting an AI-powered chatbot through an integration with GitHub Copilot. The giant is also bringing AI-generated app review summaries and is introducing a new AI Hub to highlight Windows apps that utilize AI
The giant also exploring bringing the GitHub Copilot to other developer tools like WinDBG.
Bing is ChatGPT’s default search experience
Microsoft said OpenAI will make Bing the default search engine in its ChatGPT chatbot. Starting today, ChatGPT Plus users will start noticing citations surfaced by Bing appended to the chatbot’s responses.
