Poco has released a new teaser video that gives us a glimpse of what is in store for die-hard Poco fans and even buyers looking for exceptional value for money. The video tweeted by Poco India revealed the device’s silhouette which shares a stark resemblance with a recent Redmi device.
Going by the teaser, the phone looks similar to the Redmi K30, which features a side-mounted fingerprint sensor and a front facing punch-hole camera. The Redmi K30 has only been launched in China so far and the new Poco X2 is suspected to be a re-branded version of Redmi K30, built for the Indian market.
Unlike the first iteration of the Poco line-up, this new phone seems to follow a conventional design language; a stark departure from Poco F1’s basic but cost-effective aesthetics. The device in the X2 teaser featured a bright purple variant.
Poco X2 is scheduled to launch on Feb 4 at 12 PM. The device will be sold via Flipkart. The company has been teasing a high refresh rate display which will be clocked at 120Hz. The device will also get 27W charging capacity. However, we can’t be sure if it will come with a fast charger in the box.
Poco X2 will also feature a cooling system which comes in handy during extended gaming sessions. The device will sport a USB Type C port but it will also house a 3.5mm headphone jack.
The device is targeted towards high-end gamers and the buzz created around it is similar to the promotions prior to the Poco F1 launch. The Redmi K30 has only been launched in China so far and the new Poco X2 may be launched as a rebranded version of Redmi K30, built for the Indian market.
