HMD Global, Nokia's brand licensee, is expected to launch the Nokia 6.2 in India on June 6. While many reports suggest that the Nokia 6.2 is essentially a re-branded version of the Nokia 6.2, a tweet from Nokia tracker "Nokia Anew" suggests that this might not be the case.

According to the tweet, the Nokia 6.2 is expected to come with dual cameras and a Snapdragon 632 chipset. The Nokia X71, that was launched at an event in Taiwan in April, comes with a Qualcomm's Snapdragon 660 processor and a triple camera setup comprising a 48MP+8MP+5MP configuration.

Another tweet from Nokia Anew claims that the smartphone would be priced at 18,990 Rubles (about 20,000).

We have seen in the past that the Finnish company prices its products very competitively in India—considerably lesser than the foreign markets. So we can expect the smartphone to be priced lower than in the western markets.

HMD Global will run its Indian and Italian launch events simultaneously on 6 June. While Nokia 6.2 is the most anticipated device of this launch, we can expect other surprises from Nokia as well. Nokia is yet to bring two smartphones it launched early this year at the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona to India—the Nokia 9 PureView and the Nokia 1.

Nokia most recent launch in India was that of the Nokia 3.1, that was also launched at Barcelona. The Nokia 3.1, priced at 8,990, offers a 6.26-inch HD+ display and about two-day battery life. It is powered by Qualcomm's Snapdragon 429 chipset paired with up to 3GB of RAM and 32GB storage.
