PremiumReliance Jio commercially launched Jio Fiber's broadband plans today. The service is available in six tiers — Bronze, Silver, Gold, Diamond, Platinum and Titanium — ranging between ₹699 and ₹8,499.
Jio Fiber Bronze: Hidden costs, monthly data and benefits
— The Jio Fiber Bronze plan is the most affordable offering available in the line-up at ₹699.
— The plan offers speeds up to 100Mbps and a data cap of 100GB.
— If you wish to get this plan, you will have to register yourself by visiting Jio website and submitting your name, address, mobile number and email id. Once the service is available in your area, Jio sales team will connect with you to collect documents and process your application.
— You will be required to make a one-time payment of ₹2,500 which comprises ₹1,500 security deposit and ₹1,000 non-refundable installation.
— The prices are exclusive of GST and extra data is available on long term plans as an introductory benefit.
— The plan will come bundled with subscriptions to most leading premium OTT applications. The Bronze users will get three-month access to JioCinema and JioSaavn.
Jio Fiber Bronze: Long term plans and estimated prices
Those opting in for Jio Fiber's long-term plans for the Bronze tier will receive a free Muse 2 - 6W Bluetooth speaker worth ₹2,999.
The long term plans are available in 3, 6 and 12-month (annual) subscriptions. Jio hasn't clearly mentioned the final price for any of these long term plans, but it has given the amount of money you'd save if you go for them.
Users going for the 3-month plan will get 25% extra data on top of the original data cap, so you will get 375GB of data for the same duration. Jio hasn't mentioned any savings on this plan, so you should get this one for about ₹2,100 for three months.
If you opt for the 6-month plan, you will get 50% extra data on top of the original data cap. This means you will get 900GB of data for the same duration. You will also enjoy a month of Jio Fiber service for free, as the plan claims to save you ₹699. Your final price for plan should be around ₹3,500 for six months.
Finally, if you opt for the annual plan, you will get two-times the original data offering. This means you will get 2,400GB of data for a year. This long term plan also gets you two months of Jio Fiber service for free, meaning you will save ₹1,398. Your final amount should come to ₹6,990 for 12 months.
