South Korean electronics major Samsung is set to launch the Galaxy M40 smartphone in India on 11 June. The smartphone has been previously teased by Samsung on social media and has been confirmed to be an Amazon exclusive device.
Going by the teasers, a display with a circular cutout notch, a Qualcomm Snapdragon chipset and triple rear camera setup would be the highlights of the Galaxy M40.
Samsung smartphone tracker SamMobile recently leaked the specifications of the Galaxy M40 ahead of its launch. According to the report, the feature a 6.3-inch FHD+ Infinity-O display with 2340×1080. It will be powered by Qualcomm's Snapdragon 675 processor paired with up to 6GB RAM and 128GB internal storage. It will be backed by a 3,500mAh battery.
At the back, it will sport a 32MP camera alongside a 5MP depth and 8MP ultra-wide sensor.
At the front, it will have a 16MP sensor. SamMobile says the Galaxy M40 will be the first device in the series to ship with Android 9.0 Pie out of the box.
The smartphone is expected to be priced around ₹20,000.
Bear in mind that these are not the final specifications of the smartphone. Samsung has still not confirmed these on any medium.
