The prices of Xiaomi’s bestseller, the Redmi Note 6 Pro, have been slashed. The price of the 6GB RAM/64GB variant has been reduced by ₹ 2,000, making its effective price ₹ 13,999. There's no word on a price cut about its base 4GB/64GB variant. Buyers can purchase the smartphone with its revised price at ecommerce website Flipkart as well as mi.com. Those who wish to buy it offline can purchase the smartphone via the Mi Home store.
The Redmi Note 6 Pro is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 636 SoC, just like its predecessor, the Note 5 Pro.
This is mated with up to 6GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage. It runs Android Oreo 8.1 with MIUI 10 running atop. Xiaomi hasn’t promised an Android Pie upgrade in the future.
Connectivity options include dual-SIM, Bluetooth v5.0, 4G VoLTE, and Wi-Fi.
It also comes with a fingerprint sensor on the back and facial recognition feature. It is backed by a 4,000mAh battery. At the front of the smartphone is a 6.26-inch display with a notch.
Xiaomi launched the smartphone's successor earlier this year. The Redmi Note 7 Pro comes with better specs, be it the display, camera, processor or even the design. It is priced at ₹13,999 for its base 4GB/64GB variant.
The Redmi Note 7 Pro comes equipped with Qualcomm Snapdragon 675 processor paired with up to 6GB RAM and 128GB internal storage. It runs Android Pie 9 with Xiaomi's MIUI 10 custom ROM running atop and is backed by 4,000mAh batteries.
It comes with a 6.3-inch full-HD+ display with a resolution of 1080x2340 and an aspect ratio of 19.5:9. The dot display notch houses a 13MP selfie sensor.
Connectivity options include 4G LTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac, Bluetooth 5.0, GPS, infrared port and a USB Type-C port. It sports a dual rear camera setup that has a 48MP primary sensor with an f/1.79 lens and a 5MP secondary sensor.
