UIDAI has launched an Aadhaar Face Authentication SDK that allows banks, fintechs, insurers, and brokers to integrate face authentication directly into their apps. Users can complete Aadhaar verification without switching to the separate FaceRD app, making digital onboarding simpler.

The Delhi High Court mandated biometric Aadhaar authentication for GST registration to curb fraud, highlighting losses due to misuse of PAN and Aadhaar details. The court emphasised the need for serious action against fraudulent registrations impacting innocent individuals.
