The AIADMK won a total of 47 seats in the 2026 Tamil Nadu assembly elections, but days later four of them, Maragatham Kumarave, Jayakumar, P Sathyabama and Esaki Subaya, resigned to join TVK.

Leema Rose Martin, wife of lottery king Santiago Martin, is AIADMK's candidate for Lalgudi in the upcoming Tamil Nadu Assembly elections. She joined the party in 2025 from IJK after 14 years. Her son has also launched a political party in Puducherry.
